R.I. Comic Con postponed until 2021

Comic Con 1

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE)– Comic fans in Rhode Island got some bad– and good– news today from the promoters of the state’s Comic Con.

The bad news: according to a statement posted on Twitter, Fall River-based Altered Reality Entertainment has postponed its annual Rhode Island Comic Con until 2021, due to COVID-19 concerns.

The good news: In the same statement, the organizers said they will hold two different Comic Con events in 2021.

Ticket-holders and vendors that purchased space for the 2020 Comic Con will have access to a combined Comic and Terror Con at the Rhode Island Convention Center, held June 18 through June 20.

The annual fall Comic Con will also take place during Nov. 5 through Nov. 7 in 2021.

The company said more details on tickets and vendor space would be released soon.
