R.I passes 48k cases with recent COVID-19 numbers

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 961 new coronavirus cases and 6 new deaths on Friday.
These new numbers bring the state’s total to 48,001 positive cases and 1,294.
13,761 tests were administered the prior day.
The state saw a 7.0% positive from the prior day.
RIDOH’s statistics show that the virus most commonly affects people between the ages of 30-39 in the state with 16%.
At this time, 288 people are hospitalized with 14 needing the assistance of a ventilator.
Governor Raimondo said there will be a 2-week pause of the state following Thanksgiving, in hopes it will prevent further spread.
