Rehoboth man convicted of killing his father in Seekonk in 2021

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The man accused of killing his father in Seekonk in 2021 was convicted on Monday, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III.

24-year-old Joseph “JD” Housley, II, of Rehoboth, was convicted of first-degree murder.

According to Quinn, Housley Jr. was found guilty of shooting and killing his father, Joseph Housley, inside an apartment on Forsythe Circle in Seekonk in July of 2021.

Christopher Heron, a co-defendant, was convicted of second-degree murder in connection to the shooting death and sentenced to life in prison with a possible parole eligibility at 18 years.

Housley Jr. is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 1.
