RI Department of Health reports 1,154 new cases of COVID-19, 9 additional deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health released the latest COVID-19 data for the State on Monday.

RIDOH reported 1,154 new positive cases over the past weekend. The Department of Health states that of the 4,560 tests taken on Sunday, there was a 5.1% positivity rate.

Nine new deaths were reported, bringing Rhode Island’s death toll to 1,210.

There are 170 Rhode Islanders currently hospitalized due to the virus. 15 people are in ICU and nine are on a ventilator.
