RI reports 305 new positive coronavirus cases, 13 deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 305 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.

The coronavirus data showed 13 more Rhode Islanders have died, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,248.

Out of the 11,154 tests administered on Monday, the positivity rate was 2.7%.

The data showed a decline in the state’s hospitalizations. Currently, 242 Rhode Islanders are hospitalized.

44 of those patients are in the ICU and 20 are on a ventilator.

Rhode Island health officials reported that so far, 36,974 people have been fully immunized.
