RI reports 582 new positive COVID-19 cases, 7 deaths since Friday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health released the State’s latest COVID-19 numbers on Monday.

582 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported, along with an additional seven deaths since Friday.

The State reported 2,927 tests were taken Sunday, with a positivity rate of 2.9%.

The death toll in Rhode Island now stands at 1,159.

There are 124 Rhode Islanders hospitalized, 16 in ICU, and four on a ventilator.
