RIDOH announces 919 positive COVID-19 cases; 6 new deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) The Rhode Island Department of Health announced 919 new positive cases of coronavirus on Wednesday.

There were six new deaths associated with the virus, bringing the state’s total to 1,243.

Currently, there are 220 people hospitalized in the state, with 25 individuals in the Intensive Care Unit and 17 on a ventilator.

There were 13,629 tests performed on Tuesday, giving the state a test positive rate of 6.7 percent.
