RIDOH reports 1 additional death, 74 new cases Friday

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH)  updated the state’s COVID-19 data Friday adding 74 new cases and one death.

That brings Rhode Island’s COVID-19 death toll to 1,002 and 18,224 cumulative cases since March.

There were 3,360 COVID-19 tests recorded on Thursday.

There are currently 66 people in the hospital with COVID-19, 6 are in the ICU, and 5 people require a ventilator.

RIDOH says the percent of positive tests from Thursday was 2.2%.

RIDOH has record of 329,556 COVID-19 tests, according to their COVID-19 data.
