RIDOH reports 1,280 new cases of COVID-19, six deaths since Tuesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 1,280 new cases of COVID-19, and six deaths since Tuesday. According to RIDOH, this has been the highest number of daily positive cases recorded since March.
Out of the 1,280 positive tests on Tuesday, there was a 7% positivity rate.
RIDOH is reporting that 284 Rhode Islanders are currently hospitalized. 22 patients are in ICU and 10 are on a ventilator.
The state’s death toll now stands at 1,284. There have been a total of 45,911 positive cases in Rhode Island.
Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo is set to hold her weekly coronavirus briefing Thursday at 1 p.m.
