RIDOH reports 1,521 positive COVID-19 cases, 9 deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health released the latest COVID-19 data for the State on Monday.

RIDOH reported 1,521 new positive cases over the past weekend. The Department of Health states that of the 3,975 tests taken on Sunday, there was a 6.7% positivity rate.

Nine new deaths were reported, bringing Rhode Island’s death toll to 1,233.

There are 212 Rhode Islanders currently hospitalized due to the virus. 27 people are in ICU and 17 are on a ventilator.
