RIDOH reports 2 more deaths linked to COVID-19, 71 new cases

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) updated the state’s COVID-19 data Friday adding 71 new cases and 2 deaths.

There were 3,382 COVID-19 tests that were recorded on Thursday, according to state health data.

The state’s COVID-19 death toll is now at 990.

There are 62 people in the hospital with COVID-19, 4 are in the ICU, and 2 require a ventilator.

According to RIDOH data, 304,770 COVID-19 tests have been administered with 17,793 Rhode Islanders testing positive since March.
