RIDOH reports 262 new cases of COVID-19, 2 additional deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 262 new cases of the coronavirus on Friday.

Health officials said out of the 16,813 tests administered on Thursday, the state collected a 1.6% positivity rate.

Rhode Island reported two additional deaths, bringing the state’s total to 2,671.

Since mid-December, 547,248 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state reported 381,996 Rhode Islanders have been fully immunized.

The total amount of doses administered sits at 891,725.
