RIDOH reports 289 new cases and 9 deaths linked to coronavirus

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 289 new cases and 9 deaths linked to coronavirus on Friday.

These numbers bring the state’s total to 123,145 infections and 2,376 deaths.

Rhode Island is seeing a 1.7 % positive from the day prior, and 2.2% for the week.

At this time, 177 people are hospitalized.

The state has administered 183,814 doses of the vaccine, and 57,008 are fully vaccinated.
