RIDOH reports 572 new cases of COVID-19, 16 deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health released the state’s most recent coronavirus data on Tuesday.
Health officials reported 572 new positive cases of the virus and 16 additional fatalities.
Rhode Island’s hospitalizations have been on the decline, as 346 people in the state are hospitalized for virus-related issues.
Out of those 346, 51 patients are in the ICU and 35 are on a ventilator.
RIDOH reported a 4.9% positive out of the 11,603 COVID-19 tests administered on Monday.
Health officials reported a total of 17,291 Rhode Islanders have been fully vaccinated. Additionally, 60,900 first doses have been administered.
