RIDOH reports 788 new cases of COVID-19, 9 deaths since Friday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health released the latest coronavirus data on Monday.
The state reported 788 new cases of the virus and 9 additional deaths since Friday.
Rhode Island’s death toll now stands at 2,567.
Out of the 3,612 tests taken the previous day, RIDOH reported a 3.7% positivity rate.
There are currently 134 Rhode Islanders hospitalized for the virus. 19 of these patients are in the ICU and 16 are on a ventilator.
A total of 273,216 people have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and health officials said 114,399 Rhode Islanders have been fully vaccinated.
