RIDOH reports 829 new cases of the coronavirus, 7 additional deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health announced the state’s latest COVID-19 data on Friday.

RIDOH reported 829 new positive cases of the virus, and an additional 7 deaths, bringing the state’s total to 2,083.

The state said 18,546 tests were taken on Thursday, with a positivity rate of 4.5%.

There are 352 Rhode Islanders currently hospitalized with the virus, 43 people are in the ICU and 31 are on a ventilator.
