RIDOH reports 84 new COVID-19 cases, 1 new death Wednesday

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) reported 84 new COVID-19 cases and one additional death on Wednesday.

There were 3,123 tests recorded by RIDOH on Tuesday with a percent positive rate of 2.7%.

The state’s COVID-19 death toll is now at 1,012 and there have been 19,481 positive cases in Rhode Island since March.

There are 79 people in a hospital for COVID-19 in Rhode Island, 14 are in the ICU, and 5 require a ventilator.
