RIDOH reports 844 new cases and 17 deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – The Department of Health reported 844 cases and 17 deaths related to COVID-19 on Monday.

422 people are currently hospitalized.

The new numbers bring the state’s total to 65,818 cases and 1,448 deaths.

The state saw a 10.7 % positive from the prior day and 6.9% for the week.

Rhode Island has administered 1,651,621 total tests.

The state is currently in week two of a two-week pause initiated by Governor Raimondo in order to limit the spread of coronavirus.
