RIDOH reports 9 more COVID-19 deaths since last week

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health updated the state’s COVID-19 data Tuesday adding 9 more deaths since last week.

The state’s COVID-19 data hadn’t been updated since Friday due to the 4th of July holiday weekend.

There are 55 people in the hospital, 4 in the ICU, and 4 are on a ventilator, according to data.

Rhode Island has administered 260,269 COVID-19 tests since March and 17,154 Rhode Islanders have tested positive.

The Department of Health said 59 people tested positive for COVID-19 Monday out of 2,680 tests.

The state has had a total of 969 COVID-19 deaths.

According to data,  122 people tested positive over the past four days.
