RIDOH reports most coronavirus cases in one day since late April

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 262 new coronavirus cases for Tuesday, the most in a single day since April 29.

RIDOH also reported three new deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities in the state to 2,743.

Thirty-eight Rhode Islanders are currently hospitalized for the virus. Six of them are in the ICU, and five are on a ventilator.

So far, 720,846 Rhode Islanders have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine, and 660,846 are fully vaccinated.
