Roughly 4,000 first dose appointments will be available Tuesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Health officials in Rhode Island said roughly 4,000 first dose appointments will be available Tuesday.
Department of Health spokesperson, Joseph Wendelken, said the appointments will become available on vaccinateRI.org at 9 a.m.
The appointments will be for 3/30, 4/1, 4/2, and 4/3 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence with the Moderna vaccine.
The Department of Health said they will provide 1,000 appointments per day.
“We will be opening more first dose appointments tomorrow morning than we did on Tuesday or Friday last week,” Wendelken wrote in an email. “However, we are still doing a lot of second dose vaccinating.”
According to Wendelken, the department expects to administer about 35,000 second doses this week.
Health officials anticipate larger numbers of first dose appointments to become available next week.
