BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE)- Those attending most events at TD Garden will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination starting on Monday.

The arena made the announcement following Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s decision that the citywide vaccine mandate would be lifted on Friday.

Fans over the age of two will still be required to wear a face mask while at events, except for when they are eating or drinking, in accordance to the citywide mask mandate.

The Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins announced that they will be following along with the new guidelines.

Other events could require additional health and safety guidelines at the discretion of the promoter. Fans should check for updates on the arena’s website before attending.
