Westerly company designs t-shirts thanking healthcare workers, proceeds go to hospital
WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) – A small business in Westerly created t-shirts to thank healthcare workers.
The superhero inspired t-shirts were designed by Kevin Adams, owner of J. Mack Studios, a screen printing company in Westerly.
Adams said his business has recently slowed down due to the coronavirus. In his spare time, he came up with the t-shirt design to show his appreciation for healthcare workers.
For each shirt sold, $5 is donated to Westerly Hospital. In just two weeks, J. Mack Studios raised more than $2,000.
“The money goes to feeding the healthcare workers and helping them pay for daycare,” said Adams. “We’re going to keep going with this, so if we can donate another $2,000, I’m all for that.”
Each shirt is $25 and comes with a hat and face mask. Sweatshirts are also available for $35.
