Ingrid Sandoval seen in Providence Superior Court, Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Providence woman accused of leaving her two daughters home alone at the time of a house fire back in 2020  appeared in court Tuesday.

Ingrid Sandoval is facing a manslaughter charge. The Department of Children, Youth and Families investigated the deaths of Sandoval’s two daughters and found that neglect was a factor.

The two girls were on the second floor of the home when the fire started. Sandoval was allegedly going to the supermarket down the road.

Sandoval was released on $30,000 surety bail. She is due back in court in September.
