Students in Pawtucket head back to the classroom for the first time in a year
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE)- Pawtucket students will head back to the classroom for the first time in a year on Monday.
A school committee meeting in February voted to give students and parents the option to choose between in-person learning or remote learning.
Most Pawtucket students have been learning remotely for a solid year.
Grades 1-6 will head back into their classrooms starting Monday, 7th and 8th graders will return on March 15, and high school students will take part in a hybrid learning model starting March 29.
Pawtucket is the only district in the state where a majority of students have been remote since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
